What is Girls Against?

Girls Against is a campaign fighting against sexual harassment and sexual assault in the live music community.

Who are Girls Against?

It was formed in 2015 by Hannah, Anna, Bea, Anni and Ava and is now made up of three of the original founders, Hannah, Anna and Bea, as well as over 70 international representatives.

What does Girls Against aim to do?

We hope to create a discussion within the industry about sexual assault, as well as talking about other social and political issues which surround the issue.

What has Girls Against achieved?

As a campaign, we have expanded hugely since forming in 2015. With over 18,000 followers on Twitter and having been featured on the big screens at Reading and Leeds in both 2016 and 2017, we like to think that we have helped to establish the discussion surrounding sexual assault at gigs. We’ve received press coverage from organisations such as the BBC, NME, The Guardian, The Independent and many others. We’ve also received support from artists such as Peace, Wolf Alice, Slaves, Declan McKenna, Best Coast, SWMRS.
